IRS.gov Relaunch

The IRS planned a migration from an OpenText CMS to Drupal. The change in platform allowed us the opportunity to re-evaluate the navigation, design and search functionality to address some of the many pain points taxpayers encountered.

IRS.GOV Faceted Search

The IRS transitioned it's search platform from DigitalGov to SOLR in August 2017, which allowed us to implement faceted search on IRS.gov for the first time. The goal of creating a faceted search is to provide IRS.gov users a more efficient way of exploring our large collection of content by applying multiple filters that are based on newly created Drupal vocabularies. The filters help provide a search experience that meets the demand of users at every experience level.

AHA Today Blog Relaunch

In June 2013, I oversaw the relaunch of the American Historical Association's blog AHA Today. We moved the platform from a decentralized FTP publishing system to Wordpress. Along with the change in platform, we gave AHA Today a new look and feel, including a responsive design that allows historians to read and interact with our content easily on whatever device they prefer.
